Every four years the people of the United States go through an Election Process sin order to choose officials they believe are a good for particular government positions with the purpose of serving the people at their best.

This process is both a right and a responsibility of every adult citizen in the country. Our young citizens, our students must learn about this process: what it is, what it is for, and how it works.

I will be teaching my students what the elections process is. We will discuss important vocabulary. We will identify the symbols represented by every component, check for comprehension, and conduct an election process ourselves.

This unit of study includes the following for teaching our youngsters all about the elections process:

*    Reading Selection

*  Vocabulary poster cards

*    Graphic Organizers

*    Identifying Symbols

*    Book about Elections

*    Task Cards

As a hint, when working with students who are below reading level, it is important to understand that they will need us to support them  by reading the text, fostering discussion, and  providing additional accommodations in order for them to comprehend the topic and the information being discussed and learned.

Love,
